OSU Extension Service Master Gardeners to teach class on growing vegetables in Central Oregon

Hey Sisters Community gardeners!

Our friends at OSU Extension Service are offering a class on how to grow vegetables in Central Oregon. The two-hour session will help you grow a successful vegetable garden in our challenging desert climate. Learn about soil amendments, site selection, season extenders, helpful techniques, and about recommended vegetable varieties to grow and those you might want to avoid. The class includes the 24-page book "Growing Vegetables in Central Oregon," published by the OSU Extension Service. The class is free but registration is required. Four classes are offered this spring. Madras - Feb. 25, 10 a.m. to noon Prineville - March 11, 10 a.m. to noon Redmond - March 11, 2 to 4 p.m. Sisters - March 25, 10 a.m. to noon To register or to learn more, visit the Oregon State University Extension Service website.
